Aage Snorgaard

CEO - Contex Group and Contex A/S

Aage Snorgaard joined Contex Group A/S as CEO effective October 1st 2010.

Prior to joining the Contex Group, Aage worked 12 years for Nokia Mobile Phones, as head of various global executive positions, most recently as Senior Vice President responsible for Nokia Mobile Phones global R&D. During 2008 he was Vice President of Nokia S40/S30 Software Asset R&D entity and during 2007 - Senior Vice President of Mobile Phones R&D.
 
During 2004-2006 – Aage was Senior Vice President heading the Broad Appeal Business Unit of Mobile Phones responsible for all Nokia 6000-series classic products. From May 2002 to end 2003 - Aage was Director of Product Marketing in Nokia Mobile Phones.

Aage joined Nokia in 1998 as Vice President of Wireless Services, heading a team shaping and driving strategy for value added services for Nokia Mobile Phones. During 1998-2001 – Aage held several management positions and Board Memberships within Nokia Mobile Phones, focusing on Services and Applications Management.

Prior to joining Nokia, Aage held a variety of positions in Brüel & Kjær and Philips Radio Communications Systems.

Aage holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Copenhagen University College of Engineering, and a Diploma in Marketing and Economics from Copenhagen Business School.
