All Contex scanners can be shared on your LAN – providing scanner access from any workstation. Install the free WIDEsystemNET driver software on any PC and automatically connect to any Contex scanner shared on the network. Using Nextimage software, remote workstations can automatically use the scanner – as if it were directly connected.
Some Contex scanner models connect directly to the LAN using an Ethernet cable, while other models are shared using the host PC for LAN connection. Both solutions offer a fast and easy way for more employees to access the scanner, without complicating your current workflow or making changes to your network. A single Nextimage license can be installed on several PCs (accessing only one scanner), so more users can be added at no extra cost.
The HD4230i and FLEX50i models feature iJET technology – allowing the scanners to be accessed through a special on-board web interface. Any user on the LAN can control the scanner with the web interface using only a web browser – there is no need to install any software or drivers – giving users easy access to the scanner on smaller jobs.
The control panel on the iJET scanners allows users to scan directly to a shared folder on any PC – like a scanning “Inbox” for each WIDEsystem user on the LAN. WIDEsystem drivers can be downloaded for free, giving all users direct access to the scanner from their workstation – making the scanners an effective way to communicate between users.
