ENERGY STAR safeguards the environment with products that include intelligent power management as well as low energy consumption. ENERGY STAR compliant scanners automatically enter a low-power “sleep” mode after a chosen period of inactivity. The default and recommended setting is 15 minutes. Recovering from "sleep" occurs within 3 seconds. Keeping power consumption down not only helps the evironment, it reduces the operating temperature of the scanner and extends product life. |
